'WHEELY' good fun in Mrs Magill's room
Mrs Magill's class had great fun with wheels this week during Art to link with their Transport topic. They used our digital cameras to take photographs of various wheels in our staff car park. They studied wheels on bicycles and scooters in the classroom and then sketched their own wheels using charcoal. The children really used their observations very well when carrying out their sketches. They finished off with a gallery session and discussed each others work.
Following this the children were challenged with creating their own wheels. A variety of materials were made available and they had to use their imagination and creativity to create wheels of all shapes and sizes. Even Mrs Magill took part in the challenge. The children created a fantastic display with all their work.
