Walk to School Day
1st Mar 2024
Thank you to Mrs Quinn and her Eco-Committee for organising today's Walk to School Day! Walking to school not only has its fitness benefits, but it gets the blood pumping so that children are well prepared for their busy day in school.
Walking can also help build children’s confidence, as well as teaching them the rules of the road and how to walk safely.
It can help strengthen relationships with the friends they walk with, which can especially help those starting post-primary education.
It is good for the environment as there are less cars on the road and it can help build good walking habits in children from a young age, so they choose to walk more when they can.
We look forward to developing this initiative further in the future!
