If your child hopes to sit the Transfer Test in November, please read the details below carefully.
2022 Entrance Assessment (GL)
- The PPTC Entrance Assessment is commonly referred to as the GL, GL Test or GL Assessment.
- The assessment consists of 2 standardised papers and are multiple choice in format.
- The Maths Paper has 45 Questions and lasts 45 minutes.
- The English Paper has 50 Questions and lasts 50 minutes.
- There will be a short practice session before each of the papers and, between the papers, the children will have time for a snack and a toilet break.
- The children will record their answers on a separate computer marked answer sheet.
- The Entrance Assessment will be set and marked independently by GL Assessment.
- The aspects of English and Mathematics covered by the Entrance Assessment are consistent with the legal requirements of the Northern Ireland Key Stage 2 curriculum.

Wednesday 4th May 2022: Registration Opens
Friday 23rd September 2022: Registration Closes (2.00 pm)
Saturday 12th November 2022: The Assessment
Saturday 10th December 2022: Supplementary Assessment
January/February 2023: Results (to be confirmed)
