Reading Support
We have had a few queries on how to access reading resources. We recommend the following sites for P1-3 parents to access a range of e-books from popular reading schemes to allow reading to continue during this time of learning at home. If you have any problems please contact a member of staff via email and they will get back to you as soon as possible.
www.oxfordowl.co.uk You will need to register and click on oxford owl for home. Then choose the correct age range/level for your child.
https://collins.co.uk/pages/support-learning-at-home Collins have given a password to allow parents access to a range of their books. Follow the link and enter the following details username - parents@harpercollins.co.uk password - Parents20! (case sensitive with the exclamation mark) Again you will have to choose books at an appropriate level to read from your computer/tablet.
For younger children, you can re-read books after a period of time for practice. Children can also tune-in to the Libraries NI YouTube channel every morning at 11:30am for Children's Storytime: https://bit.ly/LNIStorytimes
For P4-7 children, please log-on to the libraries NI site for access to their e-books - www.librariesni.org.uk If you're already a member you just need your membership number. If you're not a member you can sign up here https://bit.ly/LNIebooks-emags
