P7 Visit Stormont

10th Oct 2024

Today was no ordinary Thursday for the children of Primary 7. They travelled to Stormont to visit the parliament buildings and see where the Northern Ireland assembly sit. They had the opportunity to sit in assembly and debate whether or not children should wear school uniforms; which as you can imagine was a unanimous landslide victory for the opposition! They also had the pleasure of meeting our local MLA, Colm Gildernew, who explained how ministers become elected, as well as all the projects that are happening in our local area. Thank you, Colm. This was a superb trip and hopefully some more memories made in P7.
