P4 STEM investigation

14th Mar 2019

The creativity and problem solving was in full flow today in Mr. Grimley's room as they took on the challenge of designing and building new look-out towers for their castles. This was so much fun to explore as they have been looking at where castles are built and why. They were given two challenges to tackle in their groups. Firstly, they had to build a tower out of plastic cups that had to be the tallest, but also able to withstand 'wind storms' and 'canon balls'. Secondly, they had to build a tower using only paper and sticky tape. The children had a blast, as you can see from the photos. Ask them yourselves to see which ones were the best!
