This week in Primary 2 we began a new topic in numeracy, ‘Measure’. To begin we discussed some words we use when measuring the length of objects. We then decided to head outside, measuring the lengths of different objects using our pencils and the words ‘shorter than’ and ‘longer than’. Back inside the classroom, we sorted the objects we found into two categories; ‘shorter than our pencils’ and ‘longer than our pencils’. This week may have been ‘shorter than’ usual, but the P.2’s have certainly worked just as hard!
