Important Message for P6/7 Parents
Thank you for your swift response this morning and for supporting the school's Covid-19 protocols.
You must book your child in for a PCR test immediately if you have not already done so. Please share the result of the test to my email - smone720@c2kni.net. Please read the information below carefully.
If your child has had a previous positive PCR in the last 90 days, they can continue to attend school unless new symptoms develop, in which case, they will require another PCR test (please notify the school if this applies to your child).
If their PCR test is negative, they can end their self-isolation and return to school but should arrange to take another PCR test 8 days after the last known contact with the positive case (8th day is Thursday 9th September). If again negative, they can return to school as normal unless they are showing symptoms.
If they develop symptoms at any time, they should immediately self-isolate and book a PCR test, even if the earlier PCR tests were negative.
If any of the PCR tests are positive, this means they have the infection and they should self-isolate for 10 days from when symptoms began or from the date of the PCR test, in line with advice for confirmed cases.
The school will follow PHA advice and guidance at all times and is awaiting an official letter for each child within the P6/7 bubble (the PHA are currently overwhelmed with school related Covid-19 cases leading to a delay).
Thank you for your continued support.
