Congratulations to our girls' football team who qualified for the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Finals Day for the first time ever after an impressive performance in today's qualifier. Our boys narrowly missed out on qualification after a tight game with eventual winners St Joseph's Galbally. The finals will take place in Garvaghy on Wednesday 6th June.
There was a fantastic day of football today in Eglish for the CmnB Finals Day qualifier. Roan St Patrick’s, St Mary’s Cabragh, St Patrick’s Donaghmore, St Joseph’s Galbally and Gaelscoil Aodh Rua entered both the boys' and girls' competitions. After some quality matches, St Joseph’s Galbally qualified in the boys’ competition and Roan St Patrick’s Eglish qualified in the girls’ competition - both winning all of their games. A big thanks to Sean Muldoon, Dylan Horsfield and Jack Gibney from Eglish GAC for refereeing and Eglish GAC for the use of their fantastic facilities.
