Our school has been shortlisted for the coveted Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Small School of the Year Award. This is a national award for schools that promote GAA games and have had outstanding successes.
Over the past few weeks, our staff and children have been compiling a portfolio to showcase the sporting successes of our school since September 2017. We have also been showcasing our participation in a range of GAA sports, our Irish culture and our links to the community.
The shortlist is made up of 3 schools, ourselves, a school from Tipperary and a school from Limerick. It is an amazing achievement for our children, staff and community to make this shortlist and be recognised in the top 3 GAA small schools in Ireland!
We will send a delegation to a special ceremony on March 8th in Sligo where the winning school will be announced.
